Preserving Legacies Cohort 2025

NAGAR is representing the Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles of Mumbai in the global Preserving Legacies Cohort 2025, led by the National Geographic Society, ICOMOS, and the Climate Heritage Network. NAGAR and FORT Heritage Conservation Association have been selected for this prestigious cohort from a pool of 140 international applications, with only 12 teams chosen worldwide for the 2025 cohort, making our participation the first representation from India.

Preserving Legacies supports local changemakers in safeguarding cultural and natural heritage against the impacts of climate change. We are honoured to join this global network spanning more than 35 heritage sites, working collectively toward climate resilience and the long-term preservation of shared heritage.
